Michael Chabon is a Pulitzer Prize-winning American novelist, screenwriter, and short story writer. His works include The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, Wonder Boys, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay (for which he won the Pulitzer Prize in 2001), The Yiddish Policemen's Union (winner of Hugo, Nebula, and Sidewise Awards), Telegraph Avenue, and Moonglow. Known for his complex language and recurring themes of nostalgia, identity, and fatherhood, Chabon often incorporates Jewish, gay, and bisexual characters in his stories. He is a proponent of genre fiction and has written across a variety of formats, including screenplays, children's books, and comics. He received a BA from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of California, Irvine.
