Paul Fleisher is a lifelong educator, writer, and activist whose work spans science, ecology, and social justice. Author of over three dozen books for young people and educators, his writing covers diverse subjects and his classroom activity books, covering topics such as thinking games, social activism, and creative writing, are widely used. Currently an adjunct professor at Virginia Commonwealth University and assistant to the director of the Richmond Peace Education Center, Fleisher also teaches writing at the University of Richmond. He's an activist for peace and social justice who has served on numerous boards, and has been recognized with awards such as the Virginia Education Association Award for Peace and International Relations and the Thomas Jefferson Medal for Outstanding Contributions to Natural Science Education
