Lev Grossman is the New York Times bestselling author of numerous novels, including The Bright Sword, an epic retelling of King Arthur's story, named a Best Book of 2024 by Time, Vanity Fair, Kirkus, NPR, and The New York Times. He is also the author of The Magicians trilogy, a #1 New York Times bestseller adapted into a five-season TV series. Grossman has written two children's novels, The Silver Arrow and its sequel The Golden Swift, and the screenplay for the movie The Map of Tiny Perfect Things. Formerly a staff writer at Time magazine, where he wrote over 20 cover stories, his essays and reviews have appeared in The Atlantic, Vanity Fair, and The New York Times, among other publications. Grossman won the Astounding Award for Best New Writer at Worldcon in 2011.
