Books by David Howard

David Howard is a journalist and the author of nonfiction books and magazine stories. His most recent book, Chasing Phil: The Adventures of Two Undercover Agents with the World’s Most Charming Con Man, chronicled a groundbreaking FBI investigation into white-collar crime. The Washington Post called it “a caper, a picaresque, an anti-Untouchables.” His first book, Lost Rights: The Misadventures of a Stolen American Relic, was lauded by Publishers Weekly as a “remarkable American story” and a “marvelously compelling read.” Dave has spoken at venues including the Mob Museum in Las Vegas and the National Archives, and he has been featured on C-SPAN's Book TV and the History Channel show "Brad Meltzer's Lost History." Previously, he worked as an executive editor at Popular Mechanics and Bicycling, as well as holding senior editorial positions at Prevention and Backpacker.
