Books by Mark Childress

Mark Childress is the author of seven novels, including Crazy in Alabama, Tender, and One Mississippi. Crazy in Alabama was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year and adapted into a film directed by Antonio Banderas. One Mississippi was a BookSense Notable Book of the Year. His other novels include A World Made of Fire, V for Victor, Gone for Good, and Georgia Bottoms. Childress has also written three children's books and the libretto for the comic opera Georgia Bottoms. His articles and reviews have appeared in The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and The Times of London, among other publications. He has received the Thomas Wolfe Award and the Alabama Library Association's Writer of the Year award.
