Books by Devra Hall

Devra Hall Levy is a journalist and author known for her extensive work chronicling jazz luminaries. She has contributed to the Smithsonian Jazz Oral Histories, The Jazz Omnibus: 21st Century Photos and Writings, and the African American National Biography. Levy is the author of Men, Women, and Girl Singers and Strollin', and has written CD liner notes and articles for publications such as Billboard Magazine and Jazz Improv. In addition to her writing, Levy has worked as a writer and music/talent coordinator for television programs and jazz videos, including "Red, Hot & Cool." She is currently developing a play with music, Joe Williams: Here’s To Life, and a biography, Seeking Harmony: The Life and Music of Luther Henderson.
