Meredith Maran is a prolific writer with a career spanning over five decades. Beginning with a poem published in Highlights For Kids at age six, she has gone on to publish a dozen nonfiction books, an acclaimed novel, and numerous articles, essays, and reviews in publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Los Angeles Review of Books. Maran has been a keynote speaker at prominent institutions and served as Writer in Residence at UCLA, MacDowell, and Yaddo. She is a member of the National Book Critics Circle.
